Hey Internet Friends,
If you’ve seen some of my posts then you know there is no avoiding Lush, I love it far too much and can’t take a shopping trip without popping in and trying products. Aside from Lush’s beautiful smells and innovative products, they also offer a more ethical way of shopping which I love. Not only would I like to inform you a bit more about lush as a brand but also some of my top 3 lush picks! I don’t own a bath (massive cry) so these will mostly be scrubs, shower things and skin masks which are all still just as lovely!
Lush products are a guilt free purchase as they promote so many valuable ethics with there products.
They buy from 100% vegeterain and sustainable resources which means your products cause little social or economic harm to the countries or industries the ingredients are from.
They are completely against animal testing and use the minimal amount of packaging possible.
Lush are constantly fighting for different causes and offer charity sales in store regularly giving you an opportunity to make a little difference and continue buying products you can love.
My Top 3 Lush Favourites.
Face Mask : Mask of Magnanimity
Ive featured this product before so if you already know about it please keep scrolling…
Mask of Magnanimity is a multi-purpose mask with a mixture of effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin (especially if like me you have the occasional break out). The main active ingredients are peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin with added evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to work as an exfoliation as you remove it.
The smell is just beautiful, a natural mint smell that is really relaxing.
You don’t need to use a lot each time, one small pot used every 3 days has lasted me nearly two months.
It has a rich creamy texture that is easy to apply and feels lovely on the skin.
After the first application blemishes are reduced and the skin feels smooth and frankly amazing! This feeling only continues the more you use it.
There isn’t a lot. The only thing I would say is if you leave it on past the recommended time it does get a little cake and makes your face a little stiff.
Also your gonna need a flannel or cloth to remove this one as it sets hard.
Body Scrub : Rub Rub Rub
This body scrub is the golden product, by that I mean it has so many uses how could you not want to own it?
This calls itself an exfoliating shower scrub that can also be used to wash, volumise and add shine to hair.
Like all Lush products this holds a lot of fresh ingredients like Sea salt to gently exfoliate, Mimosa Absolute which is said to have calming properties, Lemon juice to rejuvenate the skin and encourage blood flow.
Gentle on sensitive Skin. Espescially on the legs after shaving which makes a change from most scrubs that can easily irritate.
When used on hair adds lots of volume and texture, especially if your hair gets a bit meh after using too much shampoo regularly
The smell and colour is absolutely amazing! So fresh and light, brilliant if you plan on using regularly.
Produces the softest skin I have EVER had.
Its not especially a strong exfoliator, yes your skin feels amazing after using it but if you have problem areas of rough skin it probably won’t do much for you.
Shower Gel : Dirty Springwash
A minty shower gel that really wakes you up in the morning, using active ingredients Spearmint and Menthol to make your skin tingle and stimulate blood flow with added Tyme to create a simply gorgeous fresh scent. Im fairly sure this product was designed with men in mind however I absolutely love it, wakes me up instantly and I feel like my skin is super clean
Amazing fresh mint smell.
Leaves your skin really feeling clean, especially good on hot days.
Lathers up really nicely so you don’t need a lot of the product at once.
Really soft on the skin.
I have never had this problem but friends of mine who have used the product have complained about it erm… stinging private areas.
I’d also love to hear your Lush favourites as Im constantly looking at trying new products!
